A game of Chinese Torchiere

Having kids can often feel like torture.

I think of that game growing up; my brothers would pin me down and tap on my forehead until I went crazy. I was the youngest of 4 boys đŸ˜©

Ok, for real, SOMETIMES that's what being a parent is like.

From the minute you are pregnant till they move out, you stop sleeping. And you get a few full nights here and there; you are so happy.

First, they stay up all night; then they wake up from a bad dream or the I’m hungry phase, then your up worrying about them.

I think it's all a process to make us rely on God for our strength, not our own.

As I was laying in bed last night, well, this morning, after being woken up for the 5th time, I asked for His strength because I know mine isn't enough. Mine will fail. He won't.

“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” 1 Chronicles 16:11
