The Hazelnut Movement

The Hazelnut Movement faith-based programs are designed for Christian schools, churches, ministries, and faith-centered communities seeking to create more compassionate, inclusive, and welcoming environments for children and families impacted by disabilities and differences.

Rooted in authentic storytelling, Biblical encouragement, and real-life experiences, these programs help children understand that every person is uniquely created with value, purpose, and belonging.

Through storytelling, movement, interactive conversations, and faith-centered encouragement, students are reminded that compassion, kindness, and inclusion reflect the heart of Christ.

WHAT MAKES OUR PROGRAMS UNIQUE

Our programs are rooted in authentic lived experience and centered around helping children and communities understand that every person reflects incredible value and purpose.

Rather than simply presenting information, we create meaningful experiences that encourage children to live with compassion, include others well, and recognize the beauty in the way God created each person uniquely.

OUR HEART BEHIND THE MISSION

We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, loved, and included — both in schools and within the body of Christ.

Our hope is to help churches and Christian communities create spaces where children and families impacted by disabilities are not only welcomed, but fully embraced and celebrated.

“When Julia came to my 2nd grade classroom to read her 2nd Hazelnut book, my students were ecstatic!! They were so excited to hear more about Hazelnut because she had read “Hazelnut it’s time to get up” to them the year prior. The students are so invested in learning about what makes sweet Hazel so unique but also how the Lord has made her just like them. It was a great opportunity for my students to ask their questions about disabilities and encouraged them to continue wondering and exploring how the Lord makes each of his children different.”
