Our mission is to inspire compassion and understanding in everyone we reach. Through our programs, children and adults alike walk away with greater compassion for themselves, their friends, and those affected by disabilities.

Why We Do It
As a parent of two children in the NKH family, a fellow educator, and a parent to public school children, I understand the challenges of discussing special needs with young learners. That’s why The Hazelnut Movement bridges the gap through impactful storytelling, conversations, and assemblies that empower students to see disabilities as strengths rather than limitations.
