Hi, I’m Julia Erman — wife, mom to two amazing kids with a rare genetic disorder, creator, author, and founder of The Hazelnut Movement, where we’re working to change the way the world sees those impacted by disability.

I started sharing my life on social media about eight years ago, not realizing it would become a space where I’d tell my story of faith, motherhood, and resilience. Along the way, I’ve walked through becoming a special needs mom twice, endured chemotherapy while pregnant, and now, by God’s grace, I’m living as a cancer survivor.
Through every season, I’ve learned there’s incredible power in simply sharing your story. Too many people stay quiet out of fear of what others might think — but I’ve seen firsthand how a single story can bring hope, healing, and connection.
Through The Hazelnut Movement, we run programs that inspire kids to believe they were created different for a purpose — on purpose. And here, in this space, I continue to share my heart, my family, and the lessons God is teaching me about finding joy even in the hardest places.
People often ask why I still show up online as an influencer, even after social media helped me launch and fund The Hazelnut Movement in its early years. The truth is — it’s the messages I receive that keep me going. When I share, I hope people see my faith, but more than that, I hope they see the light of Jesus shining through my story.
Because apart from Him, there wouldn’t be hope. Without Jesus, my story would have ended at death — but with Him, it’s become one of redemption, purpose, and joy.
Over the past eight years, I’ve changed in more ways than I can count. Healing has come through telling my story, connecting with others, and following the message God continues to place on my heart.
I don’t think there will ever be a day when I stop showing up and sharing my life with you. Maybe that makes me a little crazy — but I believe it also makes me Made for More.
So whether you’re new here or have been part of this journey for a while, thank you.
Whether you’ve sent a message or quietly followed along, thank you.
You’ve played a part in shaping who I am today.
And I pray that as you read these words, you’re reminded that even when life doesn’t go your way, you can still choose joy. 💛
